Sudha Shekhar Devulapalli

Sudha Shekhar Devulapalli is the founder of the Kalanjali School of Dance, a leading Indian Classical Dance school in New Jersey which she founded in 1996. Sudha received her training in Bharatanatyam and Kathak in Jamshedur Bihar and completed her Arangetram under the guidance of Smt. Sumati Kaushal. She has also received diplomas in Bharatnatyam and Kathak from Prayag University in Allahabad, and also received further tutoring from Padamashri Kalaimaamani Adayar K. Lakshman. Sudha has also received advanced training in dance technique, teaching methodology and choreography under guru Dr K. Uma Rama Rao of Hyderabad.
After receiving her formal training, Sudha performed in India and abroad before settling down in New Jersey in 1989. Since then, Sudha has trained and conducted the Bharatanatyam arangetrams for numerous students and has had the opportunity to direct several dance dramas for preeminent organizations such as the Telugu Fine Arts Society, American Telugu Association, and the Federation of Indian Associations.
Nikhil Devulapalli

Nikhil Devulapalli is a Director at New Mountain Capital, a leading private equity firm in New York City. Nikhil received his undergraduate degree in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University and his M.B.A from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Nikhil has had a long passion for Indian music and classical arts, having learned the tabla since childhood, and remains actively involved with KSD and the Kalanjali School of Dance.
Usha Yeramilly
Board Member
Usha Yerramilly is a Finance Executive at Rutgers University. Usha has received her undergraduate degree in Economics from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India. An Indian Classical Dance and Music enthusiast, Usha has served as a mentor, advisor, and long time supporter of the Kalanjali School of Dance and KSD since its founding.
